Is Trump Coin a Good Buy? 5 Meme Coins That Might Be Better Choices

Published

on

Donald Trump likes to dip his toes into many business ventures – steaks, casinos, fake universities. His latest business project, a Trump coin ($TRUMP) hit the ground running (500K in transactions in under 20 seconds!). But no sooner than it did so, than $5M (38%) was wiped off the value by the launch of Melania Trump’s coin – Melania ($MELANIA).

Obviously, they’re taking full advantage of Donald’s inauguration today as the next US President. But unlike her husband, Melania’s website told people that “her coin is not intended to be an investment opportunity.” Instead, it’s likely to be her brutal way of getting revenge, ahead of her bringing out a $STORMY coin (Probably. Maybe).

So should you buy $TRUMP or $MELANIA? That’s a question for another article. Right now, we should look at the grifting that Trump’s crypto firm has been up to.

World Liberty Financial Marks Up Their Own Coins By An Eye-Watering Amount

It’s not just Trump’s coin launch which is making the news. His crypto firm, World Liberty Financial, released 5B more of its own tokens, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), due to “overwhelming demand.” They’re responding to this overwhelming demand by marking those tokens up by 230%. He can now pay his attorneys and his court judgments.

It’s worth noting that initially most US investors were barred from investing in the token, with the sale being open only to non-US citizens. It’s believed that they didn’t want the SEC to come after them for unlawful selling of securities. But it does make you wonder if this was the first back door to buying foreign influence with President Donald Trump.

Some Other Top Meme Coins Are Jostling For Attention

With Bitcoin ($BTC) nearing $110K, and Ethereum ($ETH) also looking healthy, is this the start of crypto exploding like a nuclear bomb? Given that Trump has promised crypto-friendly policies, investors are hoping so, with one investor, Tron founder Justin Sun, about to increase his total investment in World Liberty Financial to $75M.

But there are also some other top meme coins which you should seriously look at, if you have some crypto money to burn. Maybe you don’t want to invest in the Trump coin and be caught up in all the hysteria?

Check out these five bad boys for your crypto wallet.

Wall Street Pepe ($WEPE)

Wall Street Pepe ($WEPE) is having a real roller-coaster of a presale, with its popularity increasing, as well as the token price. With less than a month to go before the coin officially starts trading, it’s already hit $53M in this presales stage. Therefore, investors who jumped in at the start are looking at a very attractive return on their investment.

The staking APY is a still-respectable 24% and token holders can look forward to rewards such as inside financial knowledge, usually only reserved for whales and members of Congress. This is the one with the most potential that we’re really excited about here at Bitcoinist.

Solaxy ($SOLX)

Solaxy ($SOLX) is on a mission to improve Solana, which is no small commitment. The Solana blockchain is in a bit of a mess right now – transactions are slow and expensive, and the network is backed up, with ever-increasing gas fees. Some transactions even fail. So the system is in dire need of a lick of paint and a spit of polish.

So Solaxy is coming to the rescue. Using the Solaxy ($SOLX) funds, the Solana blockchain will be remade into Solana L2 (Layer 2). This will be a much improved system with faster, cheaper transactions that will trample Layer 1 into the dust.

The current token price is $0.001606 with a nice 305% staking reward. By buying into Solaxy, you’re investing in a better sleeker blockchain that is going to vastly improve buying and selling of crypto.

MIND of Pepe ($MIND)

The Pepe family are quite busy at the moment. While Daddy Wall Street is out scooping the big bucks, his brother MIND of Pepe ($MIND) is also showing what it can do. In the week that it’s been out, $MIND has raised just over $2.6M, which shows that Pepe frogs seem to have the Midas touch.

$MIND is just one of the best AI agent coins sweeping the crypto markets right now. It promises crypto investment advice, based on “real-time hive mind intelligence.” Although it will apparently trove X.com for that intelligence, which makes you wonder how accurate that information will be.

But investors are still excited by the current token price of $0.0031635 and the staking APY of 781%. This is definitely one to get into, sooner rather than later.

American Coin ($USA)

We’ll finish off by looking at two patriotic-themed meme coins. These types of coins have rallied in the past 24 hours, most likely due to $TRUMP and $MELANIA’s sudden growth.

American Coin ($USA) has a bullish rating of 92% on CoinMarketCap. As you can see from the chart above, it was kind of underwater for a while after plummeting, but it’s now picking up again. You can’t beat good old American patriotism to get a meme coin running again. Especially one called $USA.

$USA is currently trading at $0.00001529, with a total market cap of almost $173M, and there’s no telling when it will go back down into oblivion.

Milady Cult Coin ($CULT)

Milady Cult Coin ($CULT) is another meme coin that’s doing very well off the back of the Trump coin. It’s actually doing better than American Coin, but its bullish rating on CoinMarketCap is only 75% compared to $USA’s 92%. Maybe that will pick up as the day progresses, and Trump gets into the Presidential limousine and starts talking about crypto at the inauguration?

Any coin called $CULT has to make you stop and think for a minute. Maybe it was supposed to be called $MAGA and they misspelled it? Regardless, $CULT is hopping along rather well now at $0.003178, with a total market cap of just over $335M.

Unlike Donald Trump, Don’t Invest What You Don’t Have!

We should add the standard disclaimer that, right now, there’s a lot of excitement and hype surrounding both the Trump coin, and the five alternative best meme coins profiled above. But it’s vitally important to keep a cool head and a rational mind.

Before investing anything, do lots of research and come to your own independent conclusion after weighing the pros and cons. This is not investment advice, and you should never buy meme coins with oney you can’t afford to lose. Also, there’s no such thing as a get-rich-quick scheme – just ask Donald.
